How are you today?

I am not feeling very well today. I have a cold and I didn't go into work today, which is so not like me. I am trying to figure out how I am feeling inside. I have been very happy lately and today I am having a down day, I guess. For what it is worth, I am hoping this is temporary. I received a letter in the mail today from poetry.com, saying that a poem that I posted on the website was selected as a semi-finalist entry into some contest. Also they want to publish it in this book of poetry. I wrote this poem last summer when I was having a very hard time in life. For those of you who like poetry, here it is for your viewing pleasure. Please let me know what you think about it!!!!!

Because I am getting older
I notice that I am
Overwhelmed with feelings of
Loneliness and pressure. If
Only I were able, I
Guess I could delay the
Inevitable wishes that I
Could marry the one who
About three years ago
Lavished me with the blessing that

Came from my womb. The one I
Love but who has the
Opinion that we shouldn't and
Couldn't tie the knot right now.
Knowing this, should I unplug it?

New to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't noticed from the title, I am very new to blogging. I was introduced to it by some really good friends from my knottie hotties knitting group. Yes, I am a knitter, and I am also a new knitter which is even better. I decided one day after going through a really tough time in my life that I was going to find myself, and discover what I like to do. I took a trip to the craft store and walked up and down the aisles until I was dizzy. There were so many different things there that I have always been interested in trying, I couldn't believe it! So from there I decided to try painting, and that was a no go. It wasn't stimulating enough for me, so I went back a second time and picked up some aluminum needles and some yarn and that started my new obsession!!!! I went online and I printed out some instructions on how to cast on and garter stitch and that is where it all began. I haven't stopped yet, and I am looking forward to posting pictures of my current project as soon as I learn how to post them!!!!
